●● Doing Literature Reviews ●●

The whole of yesterday and today's morning was spent on doing lit reviews. *omigosh*

[F.Y.I. Literature review means evaluating research journal articles done by researchers. By reviewing these articles, suitable points are picked out and used to supplement my topic. Also, flaws in those research are identified so that i can draw attention to more improvised future research.]

Actually, it simply means picking out bones in eggs, making lives difficult. Haahaa :p

No lar no lar, doing lit reviews advance our knowledge because then, we will know which areas are lacking. Hence, we can improve! Then.. Tada.. We become better and better. Maybe 100years down the road, humans would be able to fly.

Crap~

Anyway, i was reviewing research on male sexual assault (MSA). aiyo~ men are so ego lor. alot of problems with men. why like that? haahaa :)

But it's fun, i lovveee my topic. V.v.v. difficult to do because of the deficient knowledge about MSA and the severe presence of male rape myths. There is a false belief that men cannot be raped and therefore, MSA is very under-reported and untreated. Worse still, if men are raped by women, they are simply dismissed as jokes. So ke lian right?

Therefore, it's absolutely arduous to change ppl's perception. BUT!!! I'm going to try my very best to draw the attention to this group of victimised males. They need our respect and care just like any other patients.

Hopefully, they will step forward to report those vicious perpetuators and get themselves treated for those psychological trauma.

I love being challenged. Super stimulating to my brain and soul. Very. Now i'll look at men in a whole new different light. haaha :)

After doing all those lit reviews, im so keen on researching on male victims. I've actually identified a few lacking areas. If given a chance, i already know which area im interested to research on.

Hopefully, these men would not be stigmatised and they can get qualified care too :) So interesting! Haaha, but i talk talk only. Next time got chance to study then say :)

Kk.. I'm going to write up my essay liao. I've got all the information. Now all i need to do is to write and give the MOST IMPACT essay to my coordinator. Jiayou!
