●● Thai Nurses' Attachment ●●

Thursday's dinner was at Grand Hyatt, courtesy of my bosses. Very authentic asian flavors. Absolutely savory for my oh-so-blessed taste buds. Thumbs up for its Quality even though it was rather pricey for such common local fares! My ULTIMATE fave is the 'Mini Buddha Jumps Over The Wall' brewed soup. One word: L-u-x-u-r-i-o-u-s!

We had 3 thai nurses who flew their way from Bangkok to have a learning attachment (Thurs, Fri, Sat) with us, Grace, Susan, Viviene. Lovely ladies :) it was such a joy to have them around. I've already made a shopping pact with Viviene! 'Me and my shopping again', as quoted from my manager Eleanor :)) haha.

Friday's been so hectic with all the attachments at various medical oncologists' clinics, plus dr lee's radiation centre. Additionally, it was jammed pack with tumor board meeting as well.

Well, i enjoyed myself whilst showing them around! Recalling back, when i started out as a newbie, i didn't even had the chance to view those cytotoxic drugs preparation chambers, nor brachy-therapy in the radiation suites!

Oh, honestly speaking, it was so arduous just trying to approach the staffs then. They appeared so unyielding in the beginning, with such stern and frustrated faces. One would feel so awkward and intimidated to talk to them.

It was immensely intricate efforts, and bit by bit, I've assembled a rapport with his clinic staffs. I've learnt so much: Respect is not a right. Respect has to be earned. Now, I'm so glad that they're all smiles and acknowledging my presence :) really brightens up my work a lot!

Tomorrow's our arabic support group, and there's going to be some flamboyant dancing too! Wow :) Assalamualaikum. Peace be upon you.
